DAAA Annual General Meeting 2006
The DAAA is sorry for the delay of the long overdue AGM 2006. The AGM will be held on Wednesday 28th February, 2007 at 4pm at SMA.

Results: Mini Meet # 2
Results of the DAAA Development Meet # 2 that took place on Sunday January 28th, 2007 at Portsmouth are now up. Congratulations to the 2 Carifta qualifiers: Dillon Simon (OAC) in the Shot Put U-17 and Davis Hypolite (PAAC) in the Javelin U-20.

Great Performance by Chris Lloyd
Chris Lloyd won the 200m at an Indoor Meet in Johnson City TN (20.81s) on January 27th, 2007. His time in the preliminaries of 20.73s is the second fastest in the world this season.
Further he won his preliminaries in the 400m by clocking 47.14s, which is the 6th best time in the world so far. He did not participate in the finals as he decided to compete in the 200m final.

Mini Meet #2 Schedule Of Events

Carifta Games 2007 Standards
The qualifying standards for the Carifta Games 2007 are now up. The 20007 Carifta Games will take place from April 7th - 9th in Turks and Caicos.

DAAA Annual General Meeting Postponed
The DAAA wishes to apologize for this late correspondence and informs its affiliates that the AGM scheduled for Wednesday (20.12.06) is postponed pending receipt of the audited accounts. This should be completed by the end of the month. The new date for the meeting will be announced then.

New National Record: Shot Put (Seniors)
Tyron Benjamin has broken the Dominica National Record in the Shot Put (Seniors) at the Bucknell Bison Opener in the US. The event was held on December 2, 2006.
Old record: Curtley Bynoe 15.70m (Grand Bay, 1997)
New Record: Tyron Benjamin 16.38m (Indoor)
